Another one I'm very fond of is calling my ex-boyfriend (who mind you, lives in las vegas, and doesn't sell cars anymore) and ask him, "So, do you have any 2000 (or what ever year car you're looking at -- ususally used in my case) models on the lot? Oh, you do! Cool! How much are you guys asking for it? Really? Okay, I'll be over in about 45 minutes, is that alright?" That one has saved me thousands. Literally. Thousands of dollars.

My mom was the queen of the auto negotiation. The QUEEN. Still is. I mean, if you're raising 2 kids, and paying off a house (not to mention a cheap ass ex husband) on a teacher's salary, you're gonna figure out ways to save money.

Congrats on the car! I can't wait to see it!!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10350359.post-1130700535558980752005-10-30T11:28:00.000-08:002005-10-30T11:28:00.000-08:00Thankfully our salesman, Michael Watroba at Armstr...Thankfully our salesman, Michael Watroba at Armstrong was very nice and no-pressure. Please let go!" and Nancy screaming in terror.

Seriously, I'm not lying. That's like 90% true.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
