so, i've been on vacation and then recently ill with the summer cold. sorry for not posting more.
just got this off KATU:
[phil] Knight on Tuesday decided to again tap into the well of forgotten names, re-christening Vinton Studios, the Portland animation studio he acquired in 2003, as Laika Entertainment. Laika, for non-space buffs, is the name of the dog the Soviets placed on Sputnik 2 in 1957.
Knight also announced the first feature film from Laika would be "Coraline," an animated take on a popular children's book by Neil Gaiman.
i'm a huge fan of Neil Gaiman and this should be a cool adaptation.
go forward mr knight!
